Fit
The base curve refers to the curvature of the lenses, determining how much the frame wraps around your face. A higher base curve means greater curvature and a more contoured fit. Wiley X primarily offers base curve 8 and base curve 6 designs, with some models falling between or below these values.
A base curve 8 provides a high-wrap fit, closely contouring the face for enhanced coverage and better protection from peripheral light.
A base curve 6 features a more moderate curve, offering a medium-wrap fit that sits flatter on the face. This design provides a more versatile fit, accommodating a wider range of face shapes and sizes.
TORIC Fit
Toric Base Curve 5x2 eyewear has a modest wrap-around fit. Because the Toric lens curve in multiple directions (horizontally and vertically), they can sit even closer to the face providing more coverage and create a larger field of view.
Head Size
Choosing the right eyewear or sunglasses can be challenging—especially when it comes to fit. The first step is determining your head size. Knowing your head circumference (the measurement around your head) makes it much easier to find a proper fit. Simply use a tape measure to check your head circumference, then compare your measurement to the sizing chart above.
For example, if your head measures 58 cm in circumference, you fall under a large head size, meaning most models designed for large fits should work well for you. Many styles are also available in combined sizes, such as M–L, indicating they are designed to comfortably fit both medium and large head sizes.
