The ITT Magnetic Compass Assembly projects a compass heading directly into the top of your night vision view. It is automatically focused for ease of use and activated by a momentary pressure switch, illuminating the bearings without affecting low-light performance.
The system uses an internal mirror to reflect the compass reading into the objective lens of the night vision device. Because of this design, the compass overlay cannot be captured in photos taken through the device. The sample image shown is a composite, combining two images to illustrate how the compass appears when activated.
