At its core are the Geissele cold hammer forged (CHF) barrel and Forged Stressproof Bolt®, both High-Pressure Tested (HPT) and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) to ensure exceptional durability and match-grade accuracy. The Forged Stressproof Bolt®, crafted from Carpenter 158+ developed in collaboration with Carpenter Steel metallurgists, offers a cleaner alloy with fewer impurities—resulting in superior strength, enhanced fatigue resistance, and up to five times the lifespan of a standard mil-spec bolt.
The Super Duty® MOD1 also features a precisely tuned gas system, including the rugged Super Gas Block and optimized gas port sizing, designed to reduce felt recoil while maintaining dependable cycling in harsh conditions. Compatible with the Geissele Super 42 braided buffer spring (sold separately), the system further enhances reliability. Equipped with the HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD for compatibility with the HUXWRX FLOW series, the MOD1 complete upper is finished with the center-tab mated MK16 rail featuring reinforced stainless steel QD inserts, along with the ambidextrous Airborne Charging Handle engineered for smooth operation and reduced snagging.
